Cat and the wolf

She was a girl wishing to be loved,
I was a boy willing to love.
She was a tamed cat,
I was a wolf in goat's coat.
She felt miserable,
I preferred miserable.
And so it went along
And we became friends.
As it goes without saying
The cat can become fierce;
And never can a wolf
Lose its vile heart.
And so it ended
In cat's defeat,
She trusted me
And the wolf in me played deceit.
Now, nothing is left
But cat's broken heart
And wolf's sunken pride;
And load of memories.
